January 28, 2002 - Ventria Bioscience Featured on
Dr.Greene.com
DrGreene.com, a web leader in pediatric information, recently
featured Ventria Bioscience in a story on the benefits of
human lactoferrin and human lysozyme.
The feature, titled "Lactoferrin and Lysozyme Supplements",
addressed the importance of these two proteins in breast milk.
In addition to outlining lactoferrin and lysozyme's anti-infective
properties , the story also promoted the human version of
these proteins over bovine lactoferrin and egg white lysozyme.
With Ventria's production breakthrough, human lactoferrin
and human lysozyme have the potential to be provided as supplements
to infants who are unable to breast-feed as well as young
children whose immune systems are still developing. Referring
to Ventria's ability to produce both proteins, Alan Greene,
MD FAAP, closes by saying, "This could become a great
gift to the children of the world."
"It is a great compliment to be featured on one of the
world's most recognized pediatric sites," said Scott
Deeter, Ventria President and CEO. "This story is yet
another compliment to ExpressTec'sÔ ability to produce
proteins and peptides in a safe, scalable and cost-efficient
manner."
